Do I need to know anything about AI to use this?
No. If you can send a text message, you can use Greymill. You type a question — "draft me an NDA for a new contractor", "what should I pay a junior accountant in Manchester", "build me a marketing plan for the next quarter" — and the right specialist answers. There are no settings to learn, no prompts to memorise, no technical setup.
What is Greymill, in plain English?
It's a team of sixteen expert advisors that lives inside your laptop or phone. Each one is trained on real-world expertise in a specific field — legal, finance, HR, marketing, strategy, operations and so on. You ask questions; they give you answers, drafts, plans, and analysis. Behind the scenes it uses industry-leading AI technology, but built so that you never have to think about it — you're just talking to a specialist.
Will it replace my accountant or solicitor?
No, and we wouldn't want it to. Greymill doesn't file tax returns, doesn't act in court, and doesn't sign legal documents. It handles the day-to-day questions and drafts you'd otherwise spend hours on, or pay a professional to handle by the hour. Most of our customers keep their accountant for statutory work and use Greymill for everything else.
Is my business data safe?
Yes. Everything you tell Greymill is encrypted, stored in the UK on bank-grade infrastructure, and never used to train anyone else's AI. We're registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO ZC120843) and fully GDPR-compliant. You own your data; you can export it or delete it at any time. The full security overview is here.
What if I want to talk to a real person?
Email hello@greymill.ai any time. The founder, Henry, reads everything and replies personally. If you'd prefer a phone call, mention it in your email and we'll book one in. Greymill is a small, founder-led business — there is no call centre, no chatbot, no ticket queue.
What happens if I cancel?
You cancel inside the app with one click. You're not asked to fill out a form, jump on a "retention call", or wait out a notice period. Your subscription stops at the end of your current billing cycle. You can export any documents or conversations you've created. If you come back later, your specialists remember everything they learnt about your business.
How can sixteen specialists really cost £100 a month?
Because they're AI advisors, not people. One AI advisor can serve thousands of businesses at once, where a human can serve a handful. We pass that scale on to you. The work itself is the same — research, drafts, analysis, recommendations — but the cost structure is fundamentally different. That's why you get a team for the price of a freelancer.
What if a specialist gives me bad advice?
Greymill is an AI tool. It produces excellent research, drafts and general guidance, but it is not a substitute for regulated professional advice — legal, financial, tax, investment or medical. For any decision with material consequences, verify with a qualified professional. The specialists are trained to flag when something needs an expert review, and to cite sources where it matters.
